Hoodlums have allegedly burnt a police post and some motors throughout a land dispute in Ukpo, within the Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The dispute became said to be among the humans of Ukpo and Abba communities.
This became contained in a petition to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone thirteen, Ukpo, Anambra State, with the aid of the Ukpo network’s lawyer, C.C Uzomba.

While accusing positive leaders in Abba of sponsoring the vandals, the lawyer requested the police to arrest and bring perpetrators to justice.
Uzomba stated, “On October 14, 2020, mercenaries armed with guns invaded Ukpo Junction, vandalised and looted shops, demolished a police post, destroyed some residences of Ukpo network and in the technique burnt a Golf car and 3 bikes and robbed unsuspecting victims of their valuables. They also assaulted many Ukpo indigenes found at the junction.”
Uzomba stated the Supreme Court had ruled in opposition to the Abba community at the land, but the indigenes avoided Ukpo from reaping the fruit of the judgment.
“Also, on October 24, 2020, round 2am, some notorious Abba youths and their employed battle mercenaries, even as closely armed with weapons, dynamites, gasoline, fuel, tyre, and different guns, tried to kill protection guys on protect and have ever given that been drumming for inter-communal battle among their community, Abba, Ukwulu and Ukpo communities.
“It is based totally on these that the community is asking the police to behave now to preclude the looming communal crisis, breakdown of law and order, further assaults and armed theft of innocent people,” the petition added.
The Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Zone thirteen, Nkeiruka Nwode, said she became not aware of the incident and promised to get lower back to our correspondent.
