An activist, Kenechukwu Okeke, has come underneath fire for dragging 50 humans before a Chief Magistrate’s courtroom in Abuja over their alleged roles inside the #EndSARS protests that took place last month.
The defendants inside the match consist of Senior Pastor, Daystar Christian Centre, Pastor Sam Adeyemi; activist, Aisha Yesufu; ex-Super Eagles legend, Kanu Nwankwo; a former Director-General, Bureau for Public Sector Reform, Dr Joe Abah; journalist, Kiki Mordi, and actors, Yul Edochie and Uche Jombo.
Musician Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz; and social media comedians, Debo Adebayo aka Mr Macaroni, and Maryam Akpaokagi aka Taoma.
The remember has generated heated controversy with a number of the defendants lambasting Okeke on Twitter for submitting a “frivolous” fit.
@sam_adeyemi tweeted, “Who despatched this guy to report this frivolous regulation in shape?”
@OgbeniDipo wrote, “Not most effective does that (Okeke) need to sue Aisha Yesufu, Falz, Banky W and others, he also desires to sue Pastor Sam Adeyemi.”
On his component, @aproko_doctor described Okeke as a clown. “I experience not anything brief of pity for you, pity because you’re so blind to not unusual sense. Blind to reality. Once once more, you’re a clown,” he tweeted.
“If you’re going to name me in a courtroom method, do it well. My complete name is Ayodele Olorunfunmi Sogunro,” @ayosogunro kicked.
@Mochievous, however, suggested Okeke to “take into account joining the amazing legal professionals who’re volunteering pro bono to help get peaceful protesters illegally detained out. Might be a better use of it slow.”
