A man identified as Cardinal Usanga, has shared the experience he had with some policemen who mocked him after he sought their help to recover his stolen car.
According to him, the police officers he asked for help, mockingly told him that Nigerians wanted an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), suggesting that citizens have to bear the consequences of calling for the disbandment of the police unit.
Premium Times reports that Usanga shared his ordeal while giving testimony in a Pentecostal church in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
“The armed robbers threatened to shoot me, they threw me out of my car. Immediately they left with my car, I flagged down a police vehicle, told them what happened, and begged them to help me get my car back.
The policemen said to me, ‘It’s EndSARS’. They laughed and drove away.”
