How Femi Fani-Kayode and Precious Chikwendu fought dirty during the Christmas season over children

Precious Chikwendu claims that her estranged husband, Femi Fani-Kayode, violated a court order by refusing her access to her children during the holidays.

Ms Chikwendu had taken Mr Fani-Kayode to the Federal Capital Territory Customary Court to obtain custody of their four children.

Chikwendu’s lawyer, Abiodun Olusanya of Emeka Uchegbulam and Co, said the court ordered the divorced couple to devise a plan to allow the children’s mother to see them during the Yuletide season, pending the resolution of the case.

According to Olusanya, Fani-Kayode received a letter from his lawyer, Adeola Adedipe, requesting that the children be seen in Central Park in Abuja on December 18th, December 25th, and January 8th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Chikwendu, who visited Central Park on December 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., did not see the children because they were not brought to her, according to Olusanya.

Part of the letter to Fani-Kayode read, “Be reminded that on the 8th day of December 2021, wherein the above suit came up for hearing, their honours at the hearing of both counsel in open court, ordered that the petitioner be granted access to her children during the festive period and that counsel should agree on the days, times and where the children would be brought for the petitioner to spend time with her children.”

“Sequel to the said order, we discussed with the petitioner, though she would have loved to see her children every day, but in fairness, we hereby request the children be made available on the following three days, location and time; Saturday, 18th day of December 2021, at Central Park, Abuja, from 9am till 6pm, and Saturday, 1st day of January 2022, New Year’s Day, at the same venue and time as above.

“Kindly note that should your client reserve any objection to this date, we suggest that the petitioner be allowed access to her children on Saturday, 25th day of December, 2021, Christmas Day, as an alternative to the 1st day of January, and Saturday, 9th January, 2022, same venue and time.

“Our choice for the suggested location is borne out of our client’s decision not to visit her children at your client’s residence due to the traumatic experiences she had at the same venue. We believe in total regards to the order of the court and paramount interest of the children that our request would be positively considered and agreed to.”

In response to the letter, Fani-lawyer Kayode stated that the plan will be discussed with his client and that he would contact him.

In another letter dated December 17, 2021, Fani-Kayode accused Chikwendu of inciting the public against him through his counsel.

The letter read in part, “Please refer to our letter of 14th December, 2021. A copy of the letter is herewith attached. In the said letter, we urged for time to confer with our client on your propositions. Unfortunately, whilst we were still broaching the issues with our client for a possible compromise, on 16th December, 2021, Ms Precious Chikwendu (your client) elected to incite the public against Chief Femi Fani-Kayode vide various social media platforms. She misrepresented in the public domain that our client had violated the order of the court without disclosing in good faith the content of our prompt response to you.

“We reckon with your nobility and sincerely believe that you could not have authorised your client’s decision to frustrate the process of agreement between counsel as admonished by the court. Your attention is being called to this misleading disposition of your client because it smacks of bad faith.

“For the records, our notice of preliminary objection challenging the jurisdiction of the court is still extant. This being the case, our client is convinced that it is appropriate to appeal the order of court made on 8 December 2021, because ab initio, the court lacks the requisite jurisdiction to entertain the suit. Accordingly, we have lodged an appeal against the said decision and have equally filed a motion on notice to stay execution of same.”

The billionaire businessman had accused Jaruma of publishing falsehoods on her Instagram page against him and his wife, Regina Daniels.

Justice Ismaila Abdullahi in his ruling on Monday had ordered that Jaruma be remanded in the Suleja Correctional Centre pending the bail hearing on Friday.

The Judge while ruling on her bail application on Friday said her remand should not be seen as a punishment to the defendant.

Abdullahi warned all parties involved in the matter to refrain from actions that could be considered prejudicial to the case.

After former Big Brother Naija Housemate Whitemoney paid him a courtesy visit, MC Oluomo, Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers Lagos Chapter, ignited viral comments with a social media post.

MC Oluomo released a video of him and Whitemoney discussing and expressing excitement about the visit on his Instagram page.

MC Oluomo expressed his astonishment at seeing Whitemoney and said that they had a nice conversation.

MC Oluomo went on to say how good it was to have Whitemoney around, thanking Olufumi of Lagos for making it happen.

He wrote: I was surprised when the winner of the BBNaija season 6, Hazel Oyeze Onoduenyi, aka Whitemoney, paid me a courtesy visit. I had a fruitful discussion with him. I must confess it’s nice having him around. Thanks, olufumilagos, for making this happen. Wishing you more height and success

Many Nigerians, however, were taken aback by MC Oluomo’s caption, with many wondering who assisted him in creating the post.

This comes just days after a video leaked online showing MC Oluomo unable to explain himself while speaking about the horrific confrontation at Idumota.

Uche Maduwagu, according to The9jafresh, recently tackled Whitemoney after receiving a signed card from former Senator Dino Melaye.

Whitemoney was seen declaring in a video released online after receiving the card that poverty would not kill him, that he had made it, and that he would sleep well tonight.

In response, Uche Maduagwu, in a post on his Instagram page, criticized Whitemoney for claiming to be made, despite the fact that his colleague Laycon had performed for Grammy.

Uche Maduaguw averred that he sees a drop of greatness in Whitemoney only if he listens to the voice of wisdom.

According to Uche Maduagwu, visiting politicians and billionaires isn’t an achievement but should focus on the restaurant business, which would draw rich and powerful men to him.

The billionaire businessman had accused Jaruma of spreading lies about him and his wife, Regina Daniels, on her Instagram page.

Jaruma was remanded in the Suleja Correctional Centre pending a bail hearing on Friday, according to Justice Ismaila Abdullahi’s judgment on Monday.

On Friday, the judge denied her bail application, stating that her confinement should not be viewed as a punishment for the defendant.

Abdullahi advised all parties engaged in the case not to do anything that could jeopardize the lawsuit’s outcome.

He said, “The court did not remand her in custody as a punitive means to penalise the defendant but to make her present and answer to her case. By this, I shall be quick to point out that the charge against the defendant is bailable but not ordinary.

“I hereby grant her bail on the following conditions: That the surety must be a level 12 civil servant working within the FCT. Also, all the parties involved in the case should stay from anything that would be prejudicial to the case.”

He, however, adjourned the case till February 23 for a hearing.
