Hilda Dokubo was born as the first child in a family of six children in Buguma, Asari-Toru, Rivers State.
She received her primary and secondary education at St. Mary State School Aggrey Road and Government Girls Secondary School, respectively.
Her mother was a teacher, and her father was an engineer. Her parents were enthusiastic about her career and education.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Theatre from the University of Port Harcourt.
