Odunlade Adekola (born December 31, 1976) is a Nigerian actor, musician, filmmaker, businessman, producer, and director.
He rose to prominence and became well-known for his lead role in Ishola Durojaye’s 2003 film, Asiri Gomina Wa, and has subsequently appeared in numerous Nollywood films.
He is the CEO and founder of Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP). He is married to Ruth Adekola and the couple has four (four) children.

Odunlade Adekola is a well-known Nollywood actor, screenwriter, film producer, director, and musician. In the Nigerian entertainment industry, he embodies talent. Odunlade Adekola was born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on December 31, 1976. Despite his Ekiti origins, he was born and raised in Lafenwa, Abeokuta by Pastor and Deaconess Adekola. Because his parents were so involved in church activities, he grew up in a Christian home that is devoted to church activities.
His official schooling began at St. John’s Primary School and continued at St. Peter’s College in Abeokuta. He then attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, where he got a National Diploma Certificate.
Later on, in 2018, Odunlade bagged a bachelors degree in Business Administration at the University of Lagos. Odunlade Adekola’s career started in the church, the church gave him a platform to explore and build his confidence in acting, he is a member of Christ Apostolic Church, Lafenwa in Abeokuta Ogun State.

Odunlade Adekola’s acting career began in the church with short-minute dramas and plays. The church provided him with a platform to explore acting while also building his confidence and conquering stage frights. He did this for years while performing in the church, Christ Apostolic Church, Lafenwa in Abeokuta, Ogun State, which fueled his desire to pursue it as a profession.
Odunlade began performing in church with his companion Tunde at a young age. He was inspired by his church audience, which propelled him into professional acting.
In 1996, a buddy introduced him to a neighborhood theater club that meets for rehearsals. Odun was invited, and his sample performance won over the entire crew.
Based on his in-built talent, confidence and little acting exposure he had while acting in church in previous years, he was able to adapt to the group, and he started learning some ethics and rudiment of the movie industry.
Odunlade joined the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners in 1998, and his acting career began in earnest. In 1999, he appeared in “Faworaja,” a film directed by Bolaji Amusan a.k.a. Mr. Latin, and his involvement and performance in the film earned him numerous accolades.
His role in Faworaja set the way for him to appear in a blockbuster film in 2003, which catapulted him to fame. In Asiri Gomina Wa, he played a state governor (2003). Late Ishola Durojaiye produced the film (Alasari).
