Taiwo Hassan Early Life and Education
On October 31, 1959, Taiwo Babajide Al Hassan was born. He was born in Ilaro, Ogun State, to the late Subair Akande Taiwo and Alimot Taiwo. Taiwo Hassan comes from a family of twins; his grandpa was a twin, his father was a twin, and he shares a twin brother, Kehinde Hassan.
He is a native of Ilaro town in Ogun State, Southwest part of Nigeria. Ilaro is the headquarters of the Yewa South Local government and also the inhabitant of the Yewa/Egbado people.
He began his basic education at Christ Church School in Ilaro and continued his secondary studies at Gazikia College in Lagos, which he was unable to complete due to financial difficulties. He received his technical training as a vehicle mechanic at Yaba Technical School in Lagos.
He began acting in 1981, shortly after securing a job as an auto mechanic at the water corporation, under the tutelage of Awo Ademola Fagbemi. He worked for the water corporation for approximately 13 years. 1994: Retired from public service to pursue acting full-time.
Taiwo Hassan Career
Taiwo Hassan worked at the Lagos State Water Corporation for 13 years before embarking on his acting career. He studied under Awo Ademola Fagbemi between 1981 and 1982. He was primarily interested in theater plays at the time.
Later, he left his government job to focus on acting, and in 1994, he began working full-time in nollywood. Ogogo, as he is affectionately known, rocketed to prominence and has since appeared in a number of films, including Omin, Bolode o’ku, Obinrin sowanu, and others.
