Tonto Charity Dikeh is a controversial Nigerian actress, singer, songwriter, and humanitarian who was born on June 9, 1985. On August 27, 2000, she established the Tonto Dikeh Foundation.

Tonto Charity Dikeh was born on June 9, 1985 in Ikwerre, Rivers State, Nigeria. She is the third of five children born to Mr Sunny Dikeh, her father, and Mrs Veronica Dikeh, her mother.

She is of Ikwerre descent and was born in Rivers State’s Obio Akpor Local Government Area. Tonto Dikeh’s mother died when she was three years old, so she and her siblings were raised by her stepmother. Tatiana Dikeh is her sister, and Charles Dikeh is her brother.

Tonto was a contestant on the reality TV show The Next Movie Star, which aimed to find new talent for the film industry. She finished as the first runner-up and never looked back. She then began looking for contacts in the film industry and was successful. Even though she got her big break after finishing first in the reality show The Next Movie Star, it was her second film, Holy Cross, that convinced producers and directors to cast her in more projects.
