Bigval was born in Ogbomosho to the late Pastor and Mrs Jokotoye in Ogbomoso, Oyo, and spent his childhood in Kwara and Ondo states, where he completed his secondary education.
Bigval received his primary education at Ilofa Grammar School in Ilofa, Kwara State, and his secondary education at TAC Grammar School in Akure, Ondo State.
He continued his education at the University of Ado Ekiti, now known as Ekiti State University, but dropped out in 2001.
After dropping out, he attended the College of Aviation Studies in Zaria, Kaduna State, in Nigeria’s Northwestern region.

Bigval began acting in 1987 with the church drama group of CAC church in Erinle Kwara state where his father was a pastor.
