Luke Combs is the only child of Rhonda and Chester Combs and was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. When he was eight years old, he moved to Asheville, North Carolina.
He has been professionally singing since he was a child. When he was a student at A. C. Reynolds High School, Combs played football and sang in several vocal ensembles, including a solo at Carnegie Hall.
