Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, a Nigerian jurist and Justice of Nigeria’s Supreme Court, was born on August 22, 1958, in Lagos, Nigeria, and is presently serving as the country’s Acting Chief Justice. Oyo State in Nigeria’s southwest area is where he was born and raised.

It was at Iseyin, Oyo State, in Nigeria’s Southwest geopolitical zone that Justice Olukayode Ariwoola was born.
Oluwole Local Authority School in Iseyin was where he began his primary schooling between 1959 and 1967.

In July of 1981, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola enrolled in the Supreme Court of Nigeria as a Solicitor and Advocate. Prior to this, he had graduated from the university, been admitted to the Nigerian bar, and served as an associate justice.
Ariwoola started his professional life as a State Counsel on the National Youth Service Corps in the Ministry of Justice in Akure, which is located in Ondo State (NYSC).
Later on, he became a Legal Officer in the Ministry of Justice in Oyo State, where he remained until 1988, when he voluntarily resigned from his position in the State Civil Service to launch a private practice.
In tha>of Chief Ladosu Ladapo, SAN, he worked as Counsel beginning in October 1988 and continuing through July 1989.
Olukayode Ariwoola & Co. is a firm of legal practitioners and consultants that was established by him in Oyo town in August 1989. In November 1992, he was appointed as a Judge of the Oyo State Judiciary from the firm that he had formed.
One of the Oodua Investment conglomerates, Phonex Motors Ltd., had him serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors from May 1993 to September 1996, when he was moved to the Saki High Court from the Ibadan headquarters of Oodua Investment. During that time, he was in charge of the company.
In addition to that, he presided over the Oyo State Armed Robbery Tribunal as Chairman from the years 1988 till 1992.
Ariwoola served as the presiding judge of the Kaduna, Enugu, and Lagos Divisions of the Court of Appeals before being elevated to the Supreme Court.
