Good Samaritans have reportedly raised the sum of N28 million for a father of quintuplets whose wife died while giving birth.
The distraught man had revealed that four of the babies are currently alive as one died along with his wife.
It was gathered that this happened in Asaba, Delta state.
A relative to his wife shared the story with Gistlovers as it was revealed that he was in dire need of assistance to settle the hospital bill which amounted to N9.7 million.
When they made a cry for help, well-meaning individuals rallied support for the single father and started making donations to an account provided.
Hours later, Gistlovers announced that N28 million has been raised for the man and the blog urged people to stop donating.
The relative wrote; ”Please I want to bring to your notice a life situation of my of late Aunty who gave birth on September 16, 2022 to Quintuplets(5 babies). She didn’t make it after giving birth. The babies were put in an incubator and two days later, one of the babies ( a boy) died remaining 4 babies ( 3 girls & 1 boy).
As we speak now, the Hospital bill has amounted to over #9.7M. It increases day by day because the hospital is the one taking care of the babies awaiting when the father will come to clear off the bill.
The bereaved husband and Father of the babies has been running helter skelter to source for financial help from everywhere but to no avail. The name of the Hospital is; Our Mothers Theresa Specialist Hospital , Asaba, Delta State.
Please OBA help us put words out so that we can be able to raise money to pay off the hospital bills and get the babies home please. The babies mother who is my Aunty was buried on September, 23rd, 2022.”
Gistlovers gave the update, writing; ”You can stop the Donation now, we have 28m plus in Total, God bless everyone who pulled this through. You will never know sorrow. AMEN.”
