Iya Ibeji Omo Araye’s daughter tells her own side of the story, reveals why she didn’t inform Foluke before taking her mother to Pastor
Aderonke, the daughter of veteran actress Adenike Gboye Adekunle aka Iya Ibeji Omo Araye has finally spoken her own side of the story.
The9jafresh recalls that a popular Ibadan-based prophet, Agbala Gabriel raised funds for Iya Ibeji Omo Araye, who is currently suffering from a stroke, and started building a two-bedroom apartment for her in a remote area of Ibadan.
Many hailed him for his action but Nigerian actress Foluke Daramola who seems to have been taking care of the veteran fumes said Iya Ibeji’s daughter should have contacted her before taking her to the Ibadan-based prophet.
Speaking her own side of the story, Adenike Gboye, the daughter of Iya Ibeji Omo Araye said:
Aunty Foluke once rent a house for my mum, but I and my brother later continue to pay the house rent.
So when my mother was first sick, I cry out and it was aunty Foluke is first I stand for me, she paid the hospital bills and fed me.
But when my brother died, I called my mum’s siblings, they agreed they should take my mother to the village when Aunty Foluke heard she was not happy with the decision.
Speaking on why Foluke is not aware when she took her mother to Ibadan, she said:
Recently I tried to reach her but I was told she’s out of the country, and the current house we rent expired last year June, and the landlord gave us till January which is the same day my mother’s sibling told me to bring my mother to take care of her for a limited gave us.
