Fuji singer Alao Malika mourns the victims of Lagos train accident
Fuji Singer Alao Maliaka has expressed his condolences to the Lagos government and families of the victims of the train accident that happened in the state.
Recalls that in the early hours of Thursday, a train collided with a bus conveying staff of the Lagos government with six people confirmed dead.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the driver of the BRT bus was attempting to cross the rail track when the oncoming train ran into it.
Fidet Okhiria, managing director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), had said the bus driver is to be blamed for the accident.
He said the driver had attempted to cross the rail track and beat the train, while other cars had stopped.
Reacting to the incident in a statement on his Instagram page, he wrote, ” I join millions of right thinking people to commiserate with the government and people of Lagos state @jidesanwoolu the sad occurrence of the fatal accident that involved some Lagos state workers earlier today at PWD. I mourn with the families of those who lost their lives and sympathise with those who suffered injuries. May Allah be with them and grant them the fortitude to bear the great loss. May such not happen to us and everyone else again.
