Comic actor Ijebu has taken to social media to express his disappointment and frustration with the organizers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) as Femi Adebayo’s highly acclaimed movie, ‘Ageshinkole,’ failed to secure victories in multiple categories.
Ijebu’s public critique has ignited discussions about the transparency of the award selection process and the expectations placed on certain films.
In the video shares on his Instagram page, Ijebu stated that oranginser of AMVCA gives out the award based on how the actor supported them not because of their hardwork.
In his words,
@ijebuu slams organizers of #AMVCA9 as @femiadebayosalami AGESHINKOLE didn’t clinch victory in obvious categories.
“Ojoro, Ojoro. Any day an organization practices ‘ojoro’ to make decisions, that organization is no longer useful for the greater good.”
Any day an organization says they will only give someone an award because he/she supports them or donates a large amount, that organization is no longer serving the greater good
From Regally to Efojoku, to Jelili to Ageshinkole, hahaha..Ojoro
