In a scathing critique of the Yoruba entertainment industry, popular blogger Alubarika has called out the President of TAMPAN (Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria) and other Yoruba celebrities for their alleged neglect of veteran actors and actresses in their time of need.
The focus of Alubarika’s criticism was the recent incident involving actress Iya Gbonkan’s plea for a car and the subsequent intervention of Pastor Gabriel to provide support.
Alubarika expressed disappointment in the lack of support shown by Yoruba celebrities, including the TAMPAN President, when Iya Gbonkan reached out for assistance.
The blogger argued that these veteran actresses, who have dedicated their lives to the industry for several decades, should receive the recognition and support they deserve from their colleagues.
The blogger further highlighted that without the intervention of Pastor Gabriel, actress Iya Ibeji Omo Arayele, another veteran in need would have passed away but thanks to him for make the woman being alive today.
