Reactions as Ooni of Ife allegedly takes a new rich wife (details)
Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, is said to have moved on after his divorce from Naomi Ogunwusi as he marries a new woman.
According to online sources, the Ife royal is planning to marry Mariam Anako, an oil and gas executive.
According to Kemi Ashefon, Ooni’s putative new bride has pledged to be the monarch’s last wife.
Mariam Anako, who works at NestOlil, is a Kogi State native of the Ebira ethnic group.

She is supposed to have been of great assistance to the Ooni, which must have endeared her to him.
The King’s new decision did not surprise netizens who responded to it.
Although Ooni has yet to issue a formal declaration, the story claims the new wife has not yet entered the palace.
This news follows the split of Ooni of Ife and Queen Naomi Silekunola, which shook the internet.
Recalls how Queen Naomi startled Ife royal supporters when she relinquished her name and function as Queen of Ife.
When she accused the monarch of being two-faced, the gorgeous mother of one elicited conflicting emotions online.
“I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realised I had just one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done. He chose Saul to be king, and when He was done, He told the prophet Samuel I have moved on. Religion was never an issue between us; please refer to my interview on News Central TV. Instead, His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self.
Today I announce the beginning of a new dawn and the close of a chapter. Today, I am a mother to God’s unique gift. I am no longer a slave to my thoughts of perfection. I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother of my adorable Prince.”
