Esther Audu Early Life and Education
Esther James Audu was born on March 22, 1982, in Ikeja, Lagos, to Mr. James Audu, a retired military officer who spent the majority of his career in Lagos and lived at the Ikeja Military Cantonment where Audu was born, and her five siblings.
Audu is the youngest of six children from Olamaboro, Kogi State, and she went to Lagos for primary and junior secondary school. Their family moved from Lagos to Abuja in 2002, where she finished secondary school before enrolling in Business Management at the University of Jos in Plateau State in 2006. In 2010, she earned a BA in Business Management.
Esther Audu Career
Esther began her acting career in high school, with the goal of becoming a newscaster. In secondary school, she was a member of the Drama and Literary clubs, where she performed in stage plays.
She was chosen to represent Nigeria at Kidafest in Ghana in 1996, and her passion for acting grew, and she abandoned her dream of becoming a newscaster.
She made her Nollywood debut in Ungodly Romance and Sins of Rachael in Jos by Alex Mouth, which she describes as the first films that helped launch her career fully. While still an undergraduate, she appeared as a sub in the film Fatal Mistake.
