On September 21, 1982, he was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He is originally from Uzuakoli in Nigeria’s south-east state of Abia. He is the oldest of his family’s four children. Chichi, his younger sister, is a physician in the United Kingdom. Mike Ezuruonye began acting when he was in primary school.

Their marriage has produced lovely children (a boy and a girl). On October 1, 2011, they had their first child, a boy named Reynold Nkembuchim, in Canada.
Osinachi Elsa Ezuruonye is the name of their daughter. She was born with albinism, a genetic disorder in which a baby is born without the normal pigment (color) in their body.
