Shan George, a popular Nigerian actress, singer, film director, and producer, was born on April 21, 1970. In the film Thorns of Rose, she made her acting debut. Shan George was born in Ediba, Cross River State, in the Abi local government area.

George grew up in Lagos, where she completed both her primary and secondary school education before going on to the University of Lagos, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication. During her final year at the University of Lagos, she wrote and directed her first blockbuster film, “All for Winnie.” The film gave her an advantage in Nollywood and drew her to movie professionals.

Following her graduation from university, George entered the Nigerian film industry (Nollywood) in 1996 and appeared in her first film, “Winds of Destiny,” in 1997. She rose to prominence after appearing in the Nollywood blockbuster film “Outcast,” which launched her career and earned her an award for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Awards. George is unquestionably one of Nigeria’s most prolific actresses.
