On December 23rd, Charles Awurum was born. He is from Imo State, though he grew up in Lagos. He completed his primary and secondary education in Lagos before continuing on to the University of Calabar in Cross River State, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts. Charles Awurum has been married for 11 years and has three beautiful children from his marriage. He met his wife at a church service on New Year’s Day.

He brought the limelight to himself after he featured in the movie titled “Apama” which starred the late Sam Loco Efe. Some of the movies which Charles had featured include; “Apama”, “Game Fools Play”, “The King & the Crown”, “Johnbull & Rosekate”, and his latest, “Skelewu in America”.
He later rose to prominence. This was after he co-starred in the blockbuster film “Apama” with late Sam Loco Efe. His rise to fame began with his performance in this film.
Charles primarily appeared in comedies. Victor Osuagu, Charles Inojie, John Okafor, Chiwetalu Agu, Chief Imo, Chinedu Ikedieze, Osita Iheme, and Late Sam Loco Efe have all performed alongside him. He has always wanted to be an actor since he was a child. After his application to appear in the film “Village Headmaster” was turned down, he joined his church’s acting group and his high school drama. Charles Awurum approached the producer of “Village Headmaster,” but he did not appear in the film because he was too young and did not have enough support at the time.
