“My husband in heaven” Veteran actress Mama Rainbow marks 39th remembrance of her late husband
It’s been 39years since veteran actress, Idowu Phillips better known as Mama Rainbow lost her husband.
Taking to Instagram to mark his remembrance, Mama Rainbow eulogised him for the impact he made while on earth. She revealed that after hearing so much about his good deeds, she prayed to God to grant hum eternal peace.
Describing him as her husband in heaven, Mama Rainbow sang his praises.
“Today makes it 39years that you’ve gone to meet your maker. Oko mi ALAMU AYANFEMI OMO ORONIYI KUNMI.
Having heard so much about your good deeds. I pray/prayed to Almighty God to grant you nothing but eternal peace.
My Husband in Heaven, your wife is praying and like have always done Oko mi ma seun ooo..Oko mi kobojuweyin awon tofisile fun mi”.
Why Iya Rainbow has refused to sleep with any man for 36 years…
It was reported in 2020 that Iya Rainbow who lost her husband in 1984 had refused to sleep with any man since then.
Recall that in an interview with PUNCH some years ago Iya Rainbow, who still maintains her stance on remarriage declined having sex with any man since she became a widow.
In an update, the famous old script interpreter opened up that she can never give marriage a thought again, and she had sealed her heart against men.
“Over my dead body would I get married again. My husband closed (my heart) with a padlock and he went away with the key. I don’t trust the men of these days. There was one that said he wanted to marry me but he ran away after he saw all my kids. I have forgotten how to want a man. With five kids to cater for, I had no thoughts of that. In those days, I could go to four different locations in a day, to tell you how hard I was working to make money to take care of my children.” She said
