In a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, the wife and children of the late Timothy Adegoke paid a visit to popular Ibadan-based broadcasters, Oriyomi Hamzat to express their profound appreciation for his unwavering efforts in seeking justice for their family.
Timothy Adegoke, a young postgraduate student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, was declared missing after lodging in the hotel in November 2021.
Adegoke’s body was later found in a shallow grave along Old Ede Road in the town by the Police and it was later discovered that he was allegedly killed at Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife. Following the discovery, Adedoyin and his workers were docked on 18 counts bordering on murder, conspiracy, and oath of secrecy, among others.
Oriyomi Hamzat, known for his strong advocacy for social justice, human rights, and equality, took a keen interest in Timothy’s case.
He lent his voice to amplify their plea for a thorough investigation and proper legal proceedings to uncover the truth behind Timothy’s untimely demise.
Adedoyin was sentenced to death by hanging few days ago.
With emotions running high, Timothy Adegoke’s widow, Mrs. Adegoke, along with their children, made their way to Oriyomi Hamzat’s studio to convey their heartfelt gratitude.
